Many of the Purple Raider fall sport teams’ seasons are coming to a close. There is a lot for these teams to be proud of, but the work is not done yet. The 2024 Mount Union football team clinched their 35th OAC title this past Saturday, November 9th as they defeated Marietta. The final score of the game was 28-21. With the win against Marietta, the Raiders have won 73 straight regular season games. The football team looks ahead to next Saturday, November 16th as they take on Muskingum to close out the OAC regular season. The Raiders have an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where the boys look to make a tournament run and make it to the NCAA Division 3 Championship, the 2024 Stagg Bowl.

The Mount Union Women’s Volleyball team begins tournament play Tuesday, November 12th at 7p.m where they will take on the Fighting Muskies. The Raiders ended with a regular season record of 18-9, and are ready to make a run in the OAC tournament.

The Men’s Cross Country team received second place during the cross country OAC Championship. Three different Raiders finished in the top ten and an additional two Raiders finished in the top twenty. Meanwhile, the Women’s Cross Country took home an overall fourth place finish during the OAC Championship. The runners look ahead to regionals this upcoming Saturday, November 16th.

Be sure to cheer on all of our fall sport teams as they finish their seasons on a high note! Winter sports are right around the corner where so much more Raider success will be on the way!

"The coaches call it Indian Valley Drive. Wherever we go, people know we’re going to run the ball and we still do it. That’s one of the most fulfilling things we can do.”
